From a Model 3 to a Model Y

My first Tesla marked a practical move away from a costly gas commute; four years later, a Model Y became the next chapter in that experience.

The 2023 Model Y followed the 2019 Model 3 and is presented as a personal milestone, not a vehicle review.

In 2019, high fuel costs and a long Southern California driving routine pushed me to try an electric car. I brought home a Model 3 and began learning what electric-vehicle ownership was like in everyday use.

A second chapter in 2023

Four years later, I moved to a Model Y. The new vehicle reflected both a different set of practical needs and the changes I had watched take place in electric vehicles since that first purchase.

This is a personal timeline record rather than a product review or a broad sustainability claim. It merges the separate 2019 and 2023 source posts while preserving both dates in the story.
