When Berliner Photography became part of Rex Features, I served as Information Technology Lead through the transition. My responsibility was to keep the office, hardware, software, services, and digital-asset handoffs operating while the organization changed around them.
Maintaining continuity during change
A company transition can change names and ownership quickly, while the operational systems still have to work every day. I focused on documenting what existed, supporting the people who depended on it, and reducing disruption as assets and responsibilities moved.
The experience taught me to treat organizational change as an operational project: establish what must remain dependable, clarify ownership, and make each handoff visible. This version does not repeat the source article's unverified speculation about later corporate plans.
