Manage, maintain and implementation of systems in a time sensitive critical cross platform environment of a leading International Photography agency. Where there are constant transmissions of photos from the event and assignment photographers, As well as editing and captioning done locally and routing to agents and magazines around the world with a critical time line. With the use of various Operating systems, Programing and emerging technology’s I strive everyday to make the next more efficient than the last.

IIS services are not the only services, managed locally, we also maintain FTP, Appletalk, AFP, SMB, NFS, Active Directory, Open Directory, Print, VPN, VNC, ARD, RDC, Kerio Mail, Exchange, Blackberry as well as a Trixbox CE (VOIP) phone system.

Hardware: mixed environment, starting with 6 bonded T1 lines to Cisco Pix firewall’s with failovers which have been replaced with Watchguard 550e with failover, To Cisco and HP smart switches connecting an array of servers from Win2k though Win2k8 as well as Debian based Linux box’s and two raids. Our 30 workstations consist of half MacPro’s and the other pcs running WinXP. Our on-site Laptops are both MacBook’s and Dell’s running WinXP. Local wireless is done using a Linksys Access point’s, which is only connected to our DMZ zone for security reasons. 

Off-site locations: one office in Malibu with 2 accounting clients connected to the office over VPN. Also maintained remotely are a load-balanced datacenter, an additional backup server, Debian box used for off-site distribution as well as multiple Laptop’s for event photographers.

Software: has to undergo a thorough testing cycle before it lands on any of the computers ranging from Photoshop, Office suites, QuickBooks, Aperture, Photo Mechanic etc.…

Programing: Web programing and scripting languages used for development and maintenance of local sites
