Remote Productions

Pivot: With Covid-19 upon us and lockdowns in effect. We pivoted Setnet into remote productions. We developed a way to drop two boxes off at a location, giving us redundant stable internet and controlling real production cameras and lighting remotely.

These boxes enabled us to keep working our selves as well as keep other positions working. We also saw a need to manage, host, and embed video into Zoom meetings, which lead to new positions being born out of necessity, the "Zoom Host" and "Zoom Assist."

We felt if enough people experience what a remote production could do for them, it will maintain a place as things go back to normal. The ability for a director of 1st AD to take maternity leave and still be on set. Or merely cutting down the turnaround time on multiple states and or country location shoot from months to weeks.
